Where it all began: The Origin of Chaotic Idiots.

To say i began writing Chaotic idiots two years ago would be an understatement. I believe as creatives, we are always creating our stories as we grow. For me, I believe the seed was planted as a young child listening to the tales of Narnia and exploring the world of Middle earth. I believe it began in the tales of King Arthur and Merlin, to the goodness of Robin Hood, and the fantastical realm that was SpiderWick, or the stories of Percy Jackson. To go one step further, I was raised on Fairytales and took an intrest in Folklore, i loved the idea of faries and all kinds of strange whimsical creatures. The world of Studio Ghibli and Anime of all sorts certainly enhanced that. The sky was the limit with my imagination, and Kingdom hearts and Final fantasy fueled that love along with Disney, 90's dreamworks, various 90's cartoons and other intellectual properties i was raised on. So, once again, to say i wrote Chaotic Idiots in May of 2020 is an understatement, i've been writing it my whole life, and it wasn't just the afformentioned properties that inspired this show.
From Prince of Egypt to Spirit Stallion of the Cimmaron, to the clone wars show in 2010, My creative mind was abuzz always with ideas, flowing with story idea after story idea. I read books such as the Giver Quartet or The lantern City graphic novel: RISE, fell in love with the world of Steampunk and of course, i consumed the occasional BBC/Masterpiece classics, drama. How does this all tie in, Faith? If you listen to chaotic idiots and its upcoming Prequel, Tir Na Noc, every single piece of media and more, no doubt some piece of its influence can be found within these shows. And the more i go back and back to my roots and revisit the things i love, the more i see what was truly the building blocks for this project. I can't explain it, I can't describe this show to you, other than it is not what you think, and it is also deeper than it appears. so with that said, i leave you with this. Both shows are a deep passion project and one that has layers and layers inspired by the years and years of Media I was exposed to. Even in my adult life, Game of thrones, Witcher, Carnival Row, and Other pieces of Media continue to influence my choices as a creative. Thus continuing to expand what began when i was very young. I can only hope for the things that came before, my own works can bring about goodness and change and maybe even inspire others in the same way that i was.
