From her humble audiodrama beginnings in 2020 with the Chaotic Idiots project (Nominated at the New Jersey Webfest in 2022) to becoming a freelance historical R&D contractor on the Westend show Mozart: Her Story in 2024, Faith Jacobs is no amateur and she's no pushover. She first entered the creative scene with the hopes to become a voice actress, studying the Meisner technique for a summer under a private teacher at the Governor's School for the arts, producing her very first project during the same year, taking her shot with auditions, and finding a chance in fan productions and even a chance to be part of the ensemble in season two of Last Call at Bluebell cafe, Faith has done it all and without a helping hand. Learning to network in circles via classes from those with reputable creditably including; Christine Horn and stage director Loren Chadmia, Faith took a leap and studied hard to hone her skills as an actress, and ultimately found her calling as an independent director, editor, casting director, sound editor, foley maker, script writer, and has worn all the hats one can possibly wear when they are, by proxy, limited in resources. But being limited never stopped her from trying, she used what she had to make due, and found ways to create that didn't rely on laziness or the cheap route, instead gaining the skills to create through self learning and passionate resolve through research and gaining knowledge in the present she utilizes those skills and has done so for ten plus years in the creative arts industry.
Faith believes in the core principle that if you can do it yourself, it is better than wasting time on others doing it for you. Having bad experiences with collaboration, Faith heads up everything herself, learning how to design websites, craft demo reels worthy of getting her in the door with auditions, learning digital art, crafting cover art for her books, learning to edit (she came away from high school with honors in English) and excelled at those same classes in college. A historian, a researcher, a well rounded woman with a no nonsense attitude for bullshit, Faith gets the job done when she is allowed to thrive on her terms, not yours. Firm, self sufficient, and a believer in learning on the job without a hand to guide you, her authorhood is no different than anything else in the ten plus years of her creative journey: Self made, full of grit, gumption, determination, a serious sense of stern professionalism and the willingness to make due with what she has. No more, no less.
When you Make due with what you have; what can be achieved will amaze you.
